PAMAX Tactical Magnetic Buffer System (MBS)
— Powered by Frytech Technology
The Magnetic Buffer System (MBS) is a next-generation recoil management solution, combining patented Frytech Technology with enhanced spring engineering to deliver superior shooting performance for the AR15 platform.
Why It’s Different
Traditional buffer systems rely solely on round-wire compression springs—functional, but not optimized for peak performance. The MBS takes a hybrid approach, using staggered magnetic fields alongside precision-tuned springs to dramatically reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise.
By staging magnetic resistance, the MBS absorbs bolt carrier inertia in multiple phases—each calibrated for the mass and velocity of your specific caliber. This progressive damping delivers faster follow-up shots, better control, and less shooter fatigue.
Precision Built in the USA
- 6-Position 7075-T6 Aluminum CNC-Milled Buffer Tube — Stronger than standard mil-spec tubes
- Integrated Frytech Magnetic Technology — Built into the tube for seamless operation
- Caliber-Specific Tuning — The MBS-C is tuned for 5.56/.223 as well as 9mm.
Compatibility
- Fits all mil-spec AR15 lowers
- Works with all mil-spec stock systems
- Compatible with buffer retainers
- Replaces buffer tube, buffer, and spring
- Uses standard or included castle nut & end plate
- Maintains normal AR15 receiver takedown
Installation
The MBS is a true drop-in replacement. Install it like any other mil-spec tube, then pull the release tab to activate the system.
Torque spec: Castle nut — 25 ft-lbs
Important: The MBS is not designed for disassembly. High-power magnets inside can cause injury if mishandled. Tampering voids the warranty. Use caution during installation or removal (vice and included tools required).
Experience magnetic recoil control — faster, flatter, and smoother shooting with the PAMAX MBS.

Magnetic Buffer System
Saw this on X and decided to give it a shot, long been a fan of the silent capture system since I dislike the AR platform Spring noise. I have shot this buffer with two different uppers, a 12.5 patrol length Uppers and a heavily over gassed LMT 11.5 Upper, both un-suppressed and suppressed with Flow through suppressors. This really changed the recoil impulse with both uppers, much softer and very smooth. It even softened the LMT which is over gassed. The ejection is still forward of 3 o'clock but much better than with a full tungsten silent capture system and the Geissele Super 42 spring and H3 buffer. I will be purchasing a second one soon.

magnetic buffer
I’ve hated the spring twang since boot camp. It’s gone with the mag buffer. Easy to install and it even caught the rear takedown detent spring when it slipped and attempted to launch into orbit. Stuck right to the magnet. Recoil Impulse is weird in a good way. Much more linear instead of a quick spike. The muzzle doesn’t jump, just stays parked on target. I just put 90 rounds through it, no FTF issues at all. Stripped the first round out of a 30 rd pmag no problem. Will buy more for sure.

Smooth
Amazing. I was skeptical of there being much difference. I was one of the first to order one since I know Fry's been working really hard on this. I am really impressed on how smooth and light the recoil impulse is . I highly recommend giving it a shot if you have the resources to put into it .

This thing is awesome my ar shoots so flat and so soft it's crazy. I bought the Hades combo the two of them together basically delete recoil. I'll be ordering another one soon.

Frytech for the win.
A great FryTech collaboration. Keep up the good work Fry. This is a great add to my collection. Sits in the safe right next to my brujeria.

MBS-Carbine
NEXT LEVEL. Comfort. Noise. Recoil. FryTech is legit. I will definitely be purchasing the rest of the line. The future is here. Thanks. Satisfied customer.

This works. Replaced my 7.5 oz buffer and carbine spring in my AR-9, the recoil impulse is indescribably different than the regular buffer and spring, feels more like a push than a punch. I can't say if it is measurably less recoil for sure, but it definitely feels less and softer than the normal buffer system. I don't think you will be disappointed
