Product Overview

XSlick is a proprietary coating engineered to deliver a longer BCG life cycle, easier cleaning, less friction, less perceived recoil, and complete imperviousness to chemical cleaners—all without cracking or chipping, at an economical price point.

XSlick is applied exclusively to PAMAX Tactical Full Cut M16 Bolt Carrier Groups.

XSlick vs. Nickel Boron (NiB) & NP3

Feature Nickel Boron (NiB) NP3 (Nickel Teflon) XSlick
Coating Type Nickel plating applied over surface Nickel Teflon plating Applied to raw, blasted metal—fills all uneven areas, even on a microscopic level
Cracking / Chipping Yes—occurs even on brand-new BCGs after only a few dry fires Yes Never—guaranteed to never crack or chip
Coefficient of Friction .10 initially, increases to .20+ after ~1,000 cycles .08–.10 (fluctuating as Teflon molecules wear) .10 static throughout complete life cycle
Lubrication Marketed as "self-lubricating" (false—high points wear down) Requires oil Requires less lubricant than NiB & NP3—ideal for suppressed systems
Heat Resistance Up to 1,200°F without failure
Corrosion Resistance 48 hours 96 hours 200+ hours
Life Cycle Coating degrades after ~1,000 cycles Coating degrades over time 6,500+ rounds
Re-Coating Not available (one-time application) Not available (one-time application) Available for a small service charge
Color Options Multiple colors available

Friction Coefficient Comparison

Dry against steel:

Coating Coefficient of Friction
High Phos Electroless Nickel .38
Hard Chrome .21
Nickel Boron (NiB) .10 → .20+ (increasing)
Nickel Teflon (NP3) .08–.10 (fluctuating)
XSlick Coating .10 static (may increase slightly based on color option)

Key Benefits

  • Impervious to chemical cleaners
  • Coefficient of friction equal to or better than NiB and NP3
  • Inexpensive re-coat option to extend BCG life
  • Rated for temperatures in excess of 1,200°F
  • 4× more corrosion resistant than NiB & 2× more than NP3
  • Life cycle of 6,500+ rounds
  • Never cracks or chips—guaranteed
  • Available in multiple colors

Re-Coating Service

If you manage to shoot 6,500 rounds through your XSlick coated BCG, PAMAX Tactical will have your Full Cut M16 Bolt Carrier Group re-coated for a small service charge. Other NiB and NP3 carriers are a one-time application—if the coating cracks, chips, or wears, you have to buy a new carrier.

PAMAX XSlick Black Bolt Carrier Group - Gen 2

I run these BCGs in both my 16" SPR and 12.5" SBR (suppressed, FRT on the SBR). The SPR has ~1,000 rounds and still looks like new. The SBR has ~400 rounds frt and only shows wear from the Law Tactical folder, not the carrier itself. They clean up easily. Wipe, oil, and keep running. Honestly, you’ll see carbon fouling long before any failures. The gas keys are still going strong as well. The build and coating are excellent, and the fact they offer $35 recoating is shows they're building parts for their customers and not to line their pockets. At this price, they’re a steal. I can see these bcgs going for well above what they're asking and the fact they haven't blown up over these if pretty sad. Bravo Zulu to pmtactical.

    Good BCG

I went with this company for a few reasons. One is that they are based out of my home town which is a crazy small place in Florida. Pretty cool. The main reason is that I was looking into their reviews on reddit and the company posted a comment on a complaint someone had with theirs telling them to just turn it in for repair/replacement. The review wasn't even for or to them but they found it. You can't get much better customer service than than. Picked the ODG color bcg for a build. It's a bit darker than I hoped but looks like it belongs. I've had less than 100 rnds through it so I can't speak for how it will hold up in the long run but it functions as a BCG should and overall I'm super happy I found the company. If I ever need a colored BCG again I will stick with these folks.

    ULTRAVIOLET XSLICK REVIEW

Perfection in the field of bcg tech True to every specification they claim(which most companies do not provide technical data to this degree by any means)! For my own personal interest i took measurements and cnc tests, cleaned and inspected Other than test wear from cycling i could find zero out of spec of blem as well as torque testing pass and go no go testing with multiple sets of testers I ran multi grain, multi caliber, multi tip configurations on this bcg as well as 5 others of all different coatings from single coat phos to lantac nibx All dry, all wet as well as a grit test This X-Slick destroyed!!!! Them all!!!! The difference was incredible A new shooter would notice It is unbelievable I will be ordering four more asap The quality of the tool os perfectly matched by customer service Traded emails on several occasions Never expected a response from a manufacturer let alone the great responses and timing i got Great crew developing great stuff!!!! I have personally told my local shops and smiths to stop what they are building and check this crazy thing out.

PAMAX XSlick Black Bolt Carrier Group - Gen 2

I've been looking for a replacement for my BCM BCG, the gas key was leaking brand new and the rings burnt out after every 500 rounds running suppressed on my Sword Mk15 Mod1 16". After 2000 rounds of burning up gas rings I decided to look around for a replacement and let me tell you. I've yet to see anything like this at this price point, I'd expect this kind of performance from an LMT or other fully chromed BCG worth about 3-4x the price with how well this thing performs. Burning down 5 mags of the cheap PMC M193 5.56 55gr and it still looks brand new! The carbon builds up on the carrier like normal but wipes off as if it's an infomercial and doesn't make sense to my brain. After a burndown of 150 rounds, I tore it all down and cleaned it, the gas rings still look brand new and function as such, the ejector as well as the bolt cleaned back to the original factory new look. The carrier itself didn't show any wear on the rails which surprised me. The gas key bolts are steaked exceptionally well and there's no worry of it coming loose. The cam pin has your normal wear pattern but can't grab with a fingernail yet. Gonna burn through this 1000 rounds and give an updated review when I'm done. Definitely going to be running these BCGs in all my builds going forwards. Cheaper than BCM and better than them for sure.

    Top shelf work

Easily, one of the best bolt carrier groups I've ever purchased. Worth every penny. Color has not faded, cleans real easy, and with my FRT, it runs like a sewing machine. Highly recommended to anyone looking at the product. Trust me, you'll be satisfied.

    Beautful BCG

A little darker than the picture shows, but also the thing is literally a work of art. The pictures really do not do it justice.

Like anybody else nowadays I was looking up reviews on these guys and didn't find much but the very few I did see compared them to Failzero and cryptic coatings and I have to say I'm thouroly impressed went to oil it up a bit and usually the oil just kinda stays on the BCG not this it flew down to the other side of the bolt other than the green not being quite as bright as the picture I love this thing im glad I took a chance on this would buy again
